Medicaid Eligibility Calculators is an independent, free tool that helps people estimate whether they may qualify for Medicaid. We are not a government agency, and we don't process applications.

How the calculator works
For ages 19–64, we apply the expansion or state limit. For parents, pregnancy and children, we use each state's published level plus the 5% income disregard, converted with the 2026 poverty guidelines. Medicaid.gov's table reflects state decisions as of December 1, 2023, so a limit may have changed. For seniors and people with disabilities, we use the SSI rate as a benchmark, as these rules vary too widely for a simple formula.
What the estimate leaves out
States add their own rules, including limits above the federal minimum, spend-down programs, immigration rules and long-term care pathways. A "possibly" or "unlikely" result doesn't mean you can't qualify, so you can apply regardless.
